Falling off the wagon ALREADY

So as the title says... Saturday (day 2) I was totally off!

Had a family occasion that meant I was out of the house from ten in the morning.

Breakfast I managed to stick completely to plan
3 x bacon (fat removed)
2 x poached eggs
Lots of mushrooms
2 x toast (HexB)

Once that was finished I had my fab fruit of strawberries, raspberries and grapes. I have been trying to have this twice a day to keep up my speed intake. I also decided to add a layered fat free yogurt.

The whole lot was delish and I was stuffed.

It was after this that it all went so drastically wrong!

Next time I ate wasn't until after 7pm. By then I could have eaten my own arm! I meant to pack fruit and nuts but between running around after a 3 yr old and trying to do something with myself prior to running out the door I just plum forgot!

Chipper chips and curry sauce it was so... 14 syns for the chips and I gave about 5 for the curry sauce as it wasn't a big tub and I only had half of it in total.

You would have taught the guilt would set in here right... WRONG.. O so very wrong.

Once I'd gone off plan it was like I gave myself free reign to take the rest of the night off to enjoy the party so of course this happened...

And lots of it unfortunately.. I don't think I consumed 2 bottles myself but I am syncing it that way to be save and include all the sweets I picked at. So 48 syns later here I was!

I have decided this was the worst thing I could do and unfortunately it is something that regularly happens.. Hence the term yo-yo dieting I think.

Of course I woke up on Sunday woefully hungover and craving lots of grease and crisps etc!

Thankfully I had enough sense in myself and had the very same breakfast as Saturday to keep on track.

The rest of Sunday I consumed litres and litres of water to rehydrate and stuck 100% to plan.

I am so thankful that I was able to get back on track as unfortunately that never normally happens. I used 6.5 syns on Sunday for a packet of okey dokeys from Aldi (had to give into those cravings) and everything else was free with lots of speed foods included!

Dinner on Sunday - back on track!

Lots and lots of fruit!

Water, water, water!

Of course the cup of tea for the hangover was needed also!

So there you have it, my weekend in a nutshell.

I have drawn a line under my Saturday and allowed myself to no longer feel guilty about it. Onwards and upwards to a completely on track week :)

Wishing you all losses this week and every week

Until tomorrow,

Nicola x

The beginning - Slimming World Week 1

So last night I took a leap and joined slimming world. My lovely consultant Karen was a nice as pie to me in the new members talk (which was particularly amazing as my lovely three year old had accompanied me to the meeting).

After my talk I sat in on image therapy. This is something I've never experienced before and wow not what I was expecting at all. I am an ex-weightwatcher so this type of meeting was so totally different I was completely enthralled!

Slimmer of the week and our fab raffle were done and we actually ran over time as everyone was sharing so much!

Then came the moment of dread.. My stomach was in a ball of nerves as I stepped up on those scales.. Moment of truth.

My starting weight (I am horrible ashamed to say) is 13 stone and 1 pd! Considering when I was fullterm with my daughter I was 14 stone I was horrified. I nearly literally cried! But I sucked it up and pushed on. I will use this blog and my fab new instagram account (which you can follow from here) to keep up the motivation for the weeks where I feel crappy! Hopefully once the weight starts coming off I can do some before and after photos to keep the motivation going.

I have set an interium target of 11 stone 7 pd and my final target will be 10 stone.

When I got home I did something I absolutely love love love to do, I made some lists!! The more you get to know me the more you see that I make a lot of lists! Here are a sample of my obsession from last night.

I wrote my shopping list, I wrote my meal plan for the week and I wrote out all the recipes I was going to use for the week!

So off I went to do my shopping in Aldi and WOW! This has got to be the healthiest shop I think I've ever done.

So fast forward to this morning....

Breakfast was fantastic!
2 x Weetabix (HexB)
150ml skimmed milk (350ml for the day HexA)
Strawberries (SuperSpeed)
Raspberries (SuperSpeed)
Grapes and a Latered Greek Style yogurt from Aldi

I have not had that much food in the morning in a long time! It is now 1pm and I am still stuffed.

Onwards and upwards today! I am determined to have a good week! Bring on Lunch and Dinner :)

We can do this!
